What will you learn?

  • How a multidisciplinary team structures a prehabilitation pathway before major digestive surgery
  • What the day hospital model looks like in practice, and how patients move through it
  • How physiotherapy is built into prehabilitation, and what it changes for patients
  • How nutritional management is adapted for liver and pancreatic surgery specifically
  • The practical barriers Lyon's teams faced when implementing prehabilitation, and how they addressed them
  • Why sustaining a prehabilitation program, like any ERAS® pathway, depends on consistent measurement and audit, the principle behind the ERAS® Interactive Audit System (EIAS)
